As she lands on a photo of her and David, who is going to play our love interest, the song heather by Conan gray starts playing. This is where our flashback begins and the camera starts zooming in on the photo. Music Video Production - Planning Blog

Hello Everyone! Welcome to my Planning Blog! Amid conducting all the necessary research to produce our music video my group developed our plan to produce our video... The key components to adequately plan our music video is to set up our costuming, props, locations, backup plans, and a schedule costuming: the video will focus on average teenagers so costuming will be standard clothing for teenagers, casual wear props: the hoodie that serves as a costume will also serve as a significant prop in the music video, there is a significant line in the song that reads, "I still remember the third of December, me in your sweater..." This hoodie directly corresponds to the line.   Schedule:  November 12 - my group and I selected our song and genre  November 12 - research was conducted to gain insight and idea on our music video November 16 - the planning phase of the music video began November 19 - my group and I create our storyboard for our music video  December 3 - filming begins

Music Video Production- Research Blog Heather by Conan Gray

Hello everyone! Welcome to my Music Video Research Blog! Before conducting a professional, well produced media segment, commercial, film, or music video, adequate research is needed prior to production. To produce the Heather music video, my group and I took on the extensive research process. The first step was to review our sing and look at the lyrics to help us develop the story behind our song. When songs are turned to music video, the videos commonly portray the central message or story displayed by the song. So to properly convey a message we went through listening and re-listening to the song to get full interpretation.  To take our research to the next step, we began to watch numerous music videos using the sing to its' correct context to gain further insight. The artist of the song Heather, Conan Gray, released a music video, however his music video was not the most cinematic for research processes. However, this was alleviated by our group taking on watching over recreate

New Music Video Project - Group Blog

Image
Hello everyone! Welcome to my second blog post of the music video project, my group blog! In this project I will be breaking away from the previous duo of David and I. In this project I will be working in a trio with my two classmates/friends, Macaria Castillo and Sara Samuels. In this particular group I am excited to work with them. I have not worked with these two before but I am optimistic we will be able to productively and professionally collaborate to create a wonderful music video. Considering that my trio group consists of all of us being relatively good friends, the issue poses of us possibly not being able to stay on task, or the group butting heads because we disagree frequently. To combat these issues I plan to use the communication efforts I used with David on our commercial. To avoid constant disagreement David and I prioritized effective communication of our ideas and made sure to incorporate everyone's ideas to come to a fair consensus. Whenever we had an idea for

New Music Video Project - Intro Blog!

My name is Aljeanae Pierre, I am a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High School, and I am taking my first AICE Media Studies class. Welcome to my Intro Blog! To begin, I am taking this class as it peaks my interest of film making and production. I have some decent prior experience in media studies as I took a TV Production class in middle school where we participated in filming film segments and commercials and even a music video! I find it interesting how society has become so reliant on technology to the point where it has practically become embedded in our everyday routines. Everyday we consume media through the film industry and never truly think about or understand the process behind how this media is created. Advertisements (TV commercials), movies, and television shows are all forms of media we consume, and learning to make them is fascinating to me. In this course I plan to learn all of the detailed and technical aspects of film making as well as experiencing the bigger, more han
