Day 1 Filming Blog

Image
Hello everyone! Welcome to my Day 1 Filming Blog! The rundown of today's blog will be David and I's first day of filming.  To begin, David and I were not able to access and bring in our advertised product, the Gatorade Protein Bar, so today we mainly focused on capturing scenes 1,2,4, and 6. In these particular scenes, David, our athlete, was the main individual focus. By filming day 2, David and I will have access to our advertised product to complete all scenes.  Scene 1: David and I went out to the Fort Lauderdale High track to get our large scale, wide, and high angled shots on the track. I will say a lot of experimenting while out on the track was required in order for us to get the perfect shot to use in our commercial. Some parts of the track had a parking lot in the background, the road, or even the track shed would be in the way but eventually we found our perfect position on the track to begin the filming process.  Scene 2: Scene 2 takes place with David on the track

Hello everyone, welcome to my Planning Blog! In this blog the general commercial plan will be discussed for my Gatorade Protein Bar commercial partnered with David Brown! The general overview of the commercial is to portray our core athlete, David Brown, who will be a track star consuming the bar before he begins his sprint along the track. The commercial begins by a wide shot zooming in capturing David doing some stretches and setting up the track obstacles to prepare for his sprint. The next scene will cue to David eating the bar while looking victorious in the face getting ready to run the track. David then sets the bar down on a table and moves away. After this another wide shot scene will play out with David in his starting stance preparing to dash the track. The scene will continue with David dashing the track, and then the shot will zoom back on the bar with the Gatorade logo appearing in the screen. going For our costume, David's track uniform will be used along with his r

Research Blog- Protein Bar Analysis

Hello everyone, welcome to my Research Vlog! So far my group consisting of David Brown and I have decided top advertise the Gatorade Protein Bar To fully conduct research, my group and I took to watching multiple commercials advertising protein bars, including the Gatorade Protein Bar to get a feel for and some inspiration behind the direction of our commercial. A common theme of these commercials is sports and active content. Runners, sports teams, and athletes are showcased in the commercials.  The commercials show the actors wearing sports gear such as football uniforms, active wear, and running shoes The product advertised, in this case protein bars, are showcased in the beginning of the commercial these protein bars also serve as the props being used, extra sports equipment such as footballs, football helmets, soccer balls The actors appear athletic, it's believable that the actors used are real players of the sport portrayed in their scenes The commercials showcase the prote

Group Blog

Hello everyone, welcome to my second blog post, my Group Blog! For my upcoming project, I am choosing to take the route of working alone. Working in groups is not something that I am opposed to, however I want to take the time to evaluate myself and interpret the material before I branch out into collaborating with others. Through the process of curating my first Media Studies project, I want to take the solitude to truly take in the process of going from and creating my idea, to giving a treatment, to writing up my script and storyboard, to then making said film. I will say I do enjoy having creative freedom in the things I create which drives me to want to work solo. having the ability to use whatever idea that comes to my mind as well as having total control, within project guidelines of course, of what I create and how I go about editing, acting, or producing upon sound enticing to me. I will say that working alone does have its' downsides. When working alone you don't get
