Tenth Production Blog - Finally Done with the Final Task!

Image
Hello everyone! Welcome to my tenth production blog! So as we all know this is blog number 10. Meaning my final blog of the Final Task! I have completed my editing and total set up of the film as previously discussed. Now all we can do is reflect, on the sequence film of course. Since I was complete I still find that I’m still not ready to actually publish my film. So today I took the initiative to visually complete my film. I went ahead and I did rewatching of the film about a good 3 times to ensure it was at completion. I also forwarded the finished product to 3 of my peers to get their opinion. The feedback I received was very sufficient! I didn’t give away too much of the “film” plot as this was just an opening sequence. However, I did give a good opening sequence so you can predict what’s yet ti come in the film. Earlier in the blogs, I did mention that I fell stress due to having to cut scenes and find the correct music. Luckily it all worked out great. Despite having to cute sc

Ninth Production Blog - Last Editing Day!!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to my ninth production blog! In this blog we'll be following my ninth production blog. As nerve wracking at it was when first announced, the final task is here, completed, and conquered! I have finally finished filming, editing, and going over what needs to be revised. Now we prepare to go onto AICE Exam season to ace this course. Between today and the weekend, I took some extra time to work on this film. I took extra time with my old teacher to learn to edit better which helped tremendously. Now I took the extra learning to my video. Last blog I discussed the predicament of not meeting the precise time limit for my film. I either went too over time, or too under time; For the edits where I had my film meet the under two minute mark, I felt they were either too choppy or too rushed. The edits where it was too long had the story a it run on for an opening sequence. After reviewing my film review I found the perfect editing formula for my film. I finally chec

Eighth Production Blog - Editing All Day

Hello everyone! Welcome to my eighth production blog! In this blog we'll be following my day of editing. The Final Task is almost passed. We're on crunch time as AICE exam season approaches stressing us all! Production, film, and personal efforts are being put to the test. Today was primarily spent on editing. Editing for me hasn't been too good I really don't like editing . Editing is something that I don't like to indulge in. But I am starting to learn and get better at editing as it goes on. I did have to overcome the "struggle" of meeting the 2 minute mark. I think I ad to go back and re-edit about 3 times. So far the best time I've gotten is 1:58 which is so far so perfect for me. A component of my sequence film requires a transition scene which at the moment I haven't mastered so seamlessly. Since I am using a more complex editing software, I think I might have to take more training sessions with my teacher to master. I did have to shorten a

Seventh Production Blog - Music and Editing

Image
Hello Everyone! Welcome to my Sixth Production blog! In this blog I'll be discussing my sixth day of production, music and editing.  The last blog and last day I gave time to production, I finished up all my filming component. All that's left is to edit. Since I stepped up with my editing software, I still need extra skill to navigate how to use it. Last time I discussed how I was granted access to Final Cut and Premiere in the Adobe Studio by my old TV Production teacher. I am still quite rusty since I haven’t used either of the softwares in almost 3 years so I decided to take today to meet with him to get more experience. Of course as the film is my own I couldn’t have all the work fall on him so I used him merely as a source of guidance. He showed me all the transition outlets, how to fix the hue and light to my films and also how to do a transition montage. Of course my film needs to be realistic and not a sci-fi saga so I do not plan of having too many edits into it but t

Sixth Production Blog - Film Review

Image
Hello everyone! Welcome to my seventh production blog! In this blog we'll be going over my film review. The final task is finally here and film and production skills are truly being put to the test as of now! In the past week I have taken to film I indefinitely have faced some filming setbacks. Issues from vertical filming to bad lighting fixtures have occurred. Finally, I have gathered all my necessary filming scenes to my liking and to what I believe meets up to par with film professionalism. However my own judgement can be quite biased. Film reviews require honesty and an unbiased opinion on your work so I decided that I needed to have those who are separated from me and have no incentive to fabricate the truth on the quality of my film. I initially was going to send my footage to my co-star Samantha Fernandez, however she is ecstatic about this film so I felt there would be some potential bias she has. I then selected three friends I knew who were socially notorious for never
