Seventh Production Blog - Music and Editing
Hello Everyone! Welcome to my Sixth Production blog! In this blog I'll be discussing my sixth day of production, music and editing.
The last blog and last day I gave time to production, I finished up all my filming component. All that's left is to edit. Since I stepped up with my editing software, I still need extra skill to navigate how to use it. Last time I discussed how I was granted access to Final Cut and Premiere in the Adobe Studio by my old TV Production teacher. I am still quite rusty since I haven’t used either of the softwares in almost 3 years so I decided to take today to meet with him to get more experience. Of course as the film is my own I couldn’t have all the work fall on him so I used him merely as a source of guidance. He showed me all the transition outlets, how to fix the hue and light to my films and also how to do a transition montage. Of course my film needs to be realistic and not a sci-fi saga so I do not plan of having too many edits into it but the basic yet impactful ones are key. Update on the music, I still have yet to hear back from my artists on if I can use the music! Steve Lacy is a busy guy these days so I don’t blame him! Still I need my music. Since I don’t have too much time to dwell on the music or lack thereof, I plan to just take the royalty free route. I’m still searching for the best totality free music I can use since I don’t want to go with default songs. Royalty Free music is quality music but in all realism we would much more enjoy the actual songs however issues of copyright infringement stand so royalty free route we must do. I am optimistic that in all time this will work out. That’s all for today :)
