Planning Blog

Hello everyone, welcome to my Planning Blog! In this blog the general commercial plan will be discussed for my Gatorade Protein Bar commercial partnered with David Brown!

The general overview of the commercial is to portray our core athlete, David Brown, who will be a track star consuming the bar before he begins his sprint along the track. The commercial begins by a wide shot zooming in capturing David doing some stretches and setting up the track obstacles to prepare for his sprint. The next scene will cue to David eating the bar while looking victorious in the face getting ready to run the track. David then sets the bar down on a table and moves away. After this another wide shot scene will play out with David in his starting stance preparing to dash the track. The scene will continue with David dashing the track, and then the shot will zoom back on the bar with the Gatorade logo appearing in the screen. going For our costume, David's track uniform will be used along with his running shoes. Usage of props will consist of the track obstacles, and the protein bar which also serves as the product. Filming location is set to take place on the Fort Lauderdale High School track during permitted 8th period hours.

So far we are taking our prime inspiration from the commercials we watched with the prime focus of the bar giving some momentum to the athlete. The aim of our commercial is to mimmic the central theme by exhibiting that the Gatorade Protein bar gives our athlete (David), the momentum and motivation to get active and excel on the track.

Keeping up with correct timing of our blogs and project process, David and I are in the works of developing storyboard clips to have better organization, as well as planning our dialogue to then go on ti write our script. Music choice is still in the works as well. Props will be gathered by our home track coach, Mr Josh Fulton.

Position wise, David and I plan to co-direct while David acts. I will also take on the role of filming and storyboarding while David and I co-edit. As my partner and I meet continuously, further details will be added onto this blog. Thank you for reading my Planning Blog!
