Editing Day 2!

Hello everyone! Welcome to my second editing blog!

Today's editing day was spent fully completing our video along with finishing up the final touches of the video as well. During the last week I spent some time absent so my group and I were tasked with working a bit more to catch me up on the flow of our video. This day was also spent getting all of our collaborative efforts to complete the music video. We spent time uploading each of the scenes to iMovie and adjusting them to our needed time limits. During this time we also played around with different transitions like slow motion and merging clips to have a better visual affect to our video. Certain parts had to be sped up or slowed down to fit the correct lyrics we wanted for that scene. Overall, we were able to fully complete all the necessary editing in about two hours including all of the revisions and overlooking we did to make sure we had a good music video.

Since this is classified as our last "production day," I would like to compare the production process on this project versus the commercial. Obviously due to the commercial being our first experience with production, it was much more hectic but I noticed that collaboration was much more communal with Macaria and Sarah than David. And this comparison is no discredit on David in the slightest! He is an amazing partner to work with, he possess strong wrk ethic and work vision as well. We collaborated and cooperated but the project structure was very individual and this is likely due to us having only a duo number group. With Macaria and Sarah, since we worked as a trio, meaning three individuals with different visions and ideas, we had to be more communal with our ideas to hinder from anyone having their thoughts and ideas go unnoticed. We made sure to plan everything together helping us move as a unit. During the editing process, we constantly rewatched the video when we added different transitions to make sure we all felt comfortable with what we needed.

There was also a difference in speed of the production time with this project as well. My group and I were able to get everything done in a fast pace without rushing. We just naturally moved quicker with filming as well as editing. Overall, I am really happy with the way production has gone, I am confident in my group and I that we will produce an amazing video!
