 Hi everyone! Welcome to my seventh production blog. In todays blog the objective will be checking our location. Last blog I discussed certain disputes about location. The only locations we were able to finalize was filming in Laura’s bed room, Jasmine’s bedroom and Wolf Lake Park in Davie. Now last blog I failed to consider our schedules so now we have to re-work our film locations. I realized that I’m laughably the only one of the group who is unemployed. Laura and Jasmine work on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Elijah works from Friday to Monday. This all works out leaving us Tuesday - Thursday to film. Now working around extracurriculars is another obstacle. Laura, Jasmine, and I are all in Model United Nations, a club that meets on Wednesday which was also a designated filming day.  Hi everyone! Welcome to my sixth production blog. Honestly, school and life are getting incredibly hectic and i’m getting a little restless with this film. I know I have time so I plan to be a little lenient with timing, yet disciplined enough to meet my deadline. Today’s blog I will be doing a location check. So far with my film I’m about 80% okay and 20% mildly panicked. As far as scripts, promo, and filming time but, location is where I fall short. The issue with my team is that we all live such considerable distances and have such busy schedules. As far as living goes, the distance already stresses me. The only common ground we have is Fort Lauderdale High. Ironically, the only location we have in common is the one location we aren’t allowed to film at.  Hi everyone! Welcome to my fifth production blog! The objective of today’s blog is a continuation of my casting issue.  Last blog I spoke about an incident dealing with my casting. This was upsetting at first since I really needed to get actual film production started. After searching the entire Fort Lauderdale High, I wasn’t really successful which I honestly expected. Throughout searching, I kept finding that boys thought the movie was “girly” or they apparently didn’t have the time. Another factor I think contributed to the lack of boys participating is because I have a kissing scene in the film. Of course I will abide by what is appropriate for the this film with nothing explicit done. However, the scene will simply be something quick and simple, more like a pop kiss and less like a french kiss lol.  Hi everyone! welcome to my fourth production blog! While the filmmaking process may be fun, smooth sailing is not a word I would use to speak on the topic. Sometimes it is important to remember that although we get so invested into these films, they are not real life. Sometimes real life events happen that may interfere with things. With that being said, my casting has ran into a conflict of interest due to a private conflict between Laura and Joseph. Due to the level of friendship and respect I have for both of them, the executive decision to remove Joseph from the cast has been made. It's also important to consider that comfortability is everything with the actors to have a quality film which helps me feel better about the circumstances.  Despite this hiccup in production the show must go on.  Hi everyone! Welcome to my third production blog. Today's blog is all about promotion. One component of the short film process is to release promotion on the film. Typical film promotion consists of advertisements, commercials, items or products to boost sales (synergy and cross media convergence). However, to effectively promote a movie in 2023, using modern conventions is key. Social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube are all effective and modern ways to put something out to the world. I decided that as of right now Instagram will be the main mechanism used to promote the film. I feel as though Instagram is easy to use and access and is the most common app used by young people therefore generating the most attraction.  So far for the instagram page for our film, I've only generated a user name and a biography to explain what the page and film are.  HI everyone! Welcome to my second production blog. Today, the objective is to talk about the research I did on various films to pick up elements to remember in my film. My film is a drama about two teenage girls who find out their boyfriend is cheating on them, hence the title name, "Our Boyfriend." Jasmine is a shy, feminine, and nerdy girl who has been dating her boyfriend Joseph for 9 months. Their relationship has been filled with love and trust, basically perfect until one day, Jasmine discovers Joseph is dating another girl, Laura; Laura is an edgy, dark feminine girl, the total opposite of Jasmine. Once Jasmine discovers her boyfriend's infidelity, she takes it upon herself to contact Laura leading the two to team up and confront Joseph. I want my film to be the ultimate drama "chick flick," my vision stems from a good Lifetime movie. My target audience is teenage girls so I want to create a movie that grasps that attention.  For the past couple days, I decided to take a break from my short film to take care of school work and rest. While the break was fun, it's time to get back to work. Last blog I discussed how my film had to undergo a massive plot change. After a moment of panic, I was luckily able to get my actors on board. Despite successfully producing a story board with a well thought out plot, all of that was in a whim and I have yet to redo my plan for everything, location, script, safety plan, and backup plan so that's what will be discussed in this blog!
